The role involves creating and maintaining acquisition evaluation models, conducting due diligence, and managing the underwriting and closing process.
Responsibilities
- Creation and maintenance of acquisition evaluation models
- Detailed evaluation of allocated investments and commercial leases
- Detailed real estate, corporate finance/credit, economic, demographic, and capital markets due diligence
- Preparation of investment summaries
- Managing the underwriting and closing process
- Significant interaction with internal and external constituents (including brokers, consultants and attorneys)
Skills
- BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics or similar quantitative focus required
- 1-2 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, finance, accounting, financial modeling and/or general investment, which can include applicable internships
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting fundamentals is essential
- Financial modeling with Excel and Argus as well as general quantitative skills a must
- Strong written and oral communications skills are required
- Individuals must be able to work cooperatively and effectively as a member of a team and look to develop external relationships in the industry
- Individuals should be aggressive self-starters, willing and able to maintain high levels of accuracy, energy, productivity, and effectiveness for lengthy periods
- Attention to detail, multitasking and ability to prioritize will be frequently tested
