The Senior Director, Enterprise Applications is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of all enterprise and operational application platforms that support revenue generation, network deployment, customer lifecycle, and internal operations.
This role owns a complex application portfolio spanning OSS/BSS platforms, CRM, construction and asset systems, e-commerce, and enterprise integrations, and serves as the primary technology partner to Operations, Sales, Construction, Customer Care, Finance, and Product.
The successful candidate will balance platform reliability and scale with business agility, ensuring systems are standardized, secure, and capable of supporting rapid market expansion and M&A activity.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Application Strategy & Ownership
- Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for enterprise applications, including:
• OSS/BSS platforms (order management, provisioning, inventory, assurance, billing)
• CRM and sales platforms (Salesforce and related ecosystems)
• Construction and network deployment systems (e.g., Sitetracker)
• E-commerce and digital customer journey platforms
• Enterprise systems supporting Finance, Customer Operations, and internal workflows
- Define platform standards, architectural patterns, and integration principles that enable scale, reliability, and rapid onboarding of new markets or acquisitions.
- Act as the system owner and escalation point for business-critical platforms impacting revenue, customer experience, and network deployment.
Operational Excellence & Delivery
- Ensure high availability, performance, and data integrity across all owned platforms.
- Partner with Network Operations, Construction, and Customer Operations to ensure systems support real-world operational workflows, not just theoretical designs.
- Lead major system initiatives including implementations, upgrades, migrations, and consolidations.
- Establish SLAs, KPIs, and operational health metrics aligned to business outcomes (e.g., install velocity, order fallout, billing accuracy, time-to-revenue).
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as a trusted technology partner to executive and senior leaders across Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Care.
- Translate business objectives into clear system capabilities, delivery plans, and trade-off decisions.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams where workflows span multiple systems (e.g., Salesforce ? Sitetracker ? OSS/BSS ? Billing).
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing applications organization, including product owners, platform leads, architects, and delivery managers.
- Establish clear roles, accountability, and ownership across systems and domains.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.
- Develop internal talent while effectively leveraging system integrators and strategic vendors.
Vendor, Financial & Risk Management
- Own vendor relationships for major platforms, including contract negotiations, performance management, and roadmap alignment.
- Manage application budgets, licensing, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Partner with Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure applications meet cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection requirements, including IT/OT considerations where applicable.
- Support M&A diligence and integration, including system assessment, rationalization, and execution of integration plans.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, OSS/BSS, or large-scale systems delivery, preferably in telecom, broadband, utilities, or infrastructure-heavy environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing complex, multi-platform application portfolios with direct business impact.
- Hands-on experience with:
• OSS/BSS platforms in a service provider environment
• Salesforce (Sales, Service, CPQ, or Field Service preferred)
• Construction / asset management platforms (e.g., Sitetracker or equivalent)
• E-commerce or digital customer experience platforms
- Strong understanding of order-to-cash, build-to-operate, and trouble-to-resolve lifecycles in an FTTH context.
- Demonstrated success leading large programs, system transformations, or M&A integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-growth or acquisitive environments
- Familiarity with network inventory, provisioning, and service assurance concepts
- Strong grounding in integration architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems
- Experience operating in a regulated or security-sensitive environment
Leadership Competencies
- Business-first mindset with strong technical credibility
- Comfortable making trade-off decisions under operational pressure
- Clear, direct communicator with executives and frontline teams alike
- Bias toward simplification, standardization, and repeatability
- Calm, decisive leader during incidents, cutovers, and critical launches
