Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Digital Advertising Operations Client Service Manager to join our Milan-based Italian advertising sales and operations team. As a key member of our client services group, you will play a vital role in supporting our sales representatives and clients throughout all stages of the campaign lifecycle, from planning to invoicing. Your expertise in media planning, campaign management, and leadership will be essential in driving revenue growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional client support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a Digital Advertising Operations Client Service team in supporting assigned sales representatives and clients through all periods of the campaign lifecycle, from planning to invoicing
- Deliver effective media plans that maximize revenue and drive client satisfaction
- Allocate team responsibilities while contributing to and assisting in campaign management
- Perform all tasks related to campaign management, including inventory forecasting, media plan creation, order entry, trafficking, optimization, reporting, and invoicing
- Ensure the Account Manager is fully trained on campaign performance and able to address all related questions
- Act as the primary point of contact for any escalations on complex issues or requests regarding inventory, ad products, or campaigns
- Assist Sales, Finance, and Accounting in revenue tracking
- Investigate and resolve ad delivery, ad quality, and technical issues, liaising with global Ad Platforms support
- Test potential ad tech vendor integrations and provide input on contract negotiations
- Ideate, implement, review, and improve operational processes that drive quality and efficiency
- Analyze usage and performance of digital inventory to develop strategies and products that maximize revenue yield
- Manage, mentor, and develop talent, including training new hires
- Create and update internal documentation to clarify processes and best practices
- Collaborate with regional teams and act as a local center of excellence for other offices across EMEA
- Stay up-to-date with blithequark's ad tech stack and ecosystem, and follow industry developments
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of overall experience in the advertising industry, either publisher/agency side or in ad tech
- Team management experience
- Expertise in defining and advancing processes
- Highly skilled in determining, planning, trafficking, and managing ad campaigns for display and video across websites, apps, social platforms, and connected TV environments
- Proven ability in executing campaigns, creating accurate and relevant reports, and optimizing performance
- Solid understanding of programmatic advertising, technologies that power it, and key players in the space
- Familiarity with general data security and privacy requirements related to digital advertising
- Able to represent the organization in external meetings and events
- Media or entertainment brand experience is beneficial, as is knowledge of the processes and procedures of a global partnership
- Essential knowledge of ad operations systems (e.g., Google Ad Manager), ad server systems (e.g., DV360), and management of Creative Assets and Tracking to support and lead the assigned team
- Knowledge of Massive activation for digital campaigns and related requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in digital advertising operations
- Experience working with global brands and agencies
- Advanced knowledge of ad tech systems and platforms
- Certifications in digital advertising or related fields
