The Director of Global Soccer Partnerships leads Hickson Sport’s relationship development across professional soccer environments worldwide. Description About Hickson Sport Hickson Sport works inside of elite performance environments to protect decision quality, nervous-system stability, and human continuity across the full demands of competition. We do not merely advise from a distance. We embed close enough to understand what a club, leadership group, or football operation is actually carrying, often before that strain becomes visible in performance, staff cohesion, or strategic judgment. As our work expands across football environments, we are hiring a Director of Global Soccer Partnerships to help build, steward, and deepen high-trust relationships across the global game. Role Overview The Director of Global Soccer Partnerships leads Hickson Sport’s relationship development across professional soccer environments worldwide. This person is responsible for opening serious doors, building credible long-range relationships, and helping translate Hickson Sport’s value into football language that executives, sporting directors, technical leaders, ownership groups, and senior coaching staff immediately understand. This is not a volume-sales role. It is a high-trust, high-discretion position for someone whose presence already carries weight inside of the sport. You should be able to move comfortably between boardroom, training ground, and private strategic conversation, while understanding the political, cultural, and competitive realities that shape global football organizations. Core Responsibilities Partnership Development - Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities across global soccer markets - Build relationships with club executives, ownership groups, sporting directors, technical directors, head coaches, and trusted intermediaries - Develop and manage a high-value pipeline of prospective club and ecosystem partners - Lead outreach, follow-up, and relationship development with patience, precision, and strong situational judgment Strategic Representation - Represent Hickson Sport in senior football environments with composure, discretion, and credibility - Translate our work into language appropriate for football operations, leadership, and ownership contexts - Help prospective partners understand where Hickson Sport fits inside of performance, medical, technical, and executive structures - Maintain a strong grasp of how our work supports competitive stability without threatening existing departmental sovereignty Market Intelligence - Track shifts across the global soccer landscape, including ownership movement, executive appointments, structural transitions, competitive pressures, and organizational openings - Surface high-value opportunities where Hickson Sport is especially well positioned to enter - Provide leadership with informed perspective on club timing, internal politics, and partnership readiness Relationship Stewardship - Maintain active continuity with priority relationships over time - Protect the warmth, seriousness, and strategic clarity of Hickson Sport’s external presence - Ensure promising conversations do not drift through neglect, poor timing, or weak follow-through - Support high-level visits, introductions, and relationship moments as needed Internal Collaboration - Work closely with leadership to shape partnership strategy and market sequencing - Help refine pitch language, opportunity framing, and football-specific positioning - Contribute to how Hickson Sport is presented across proposals, outreach, and strategic conversations Qualifications - Significant experience inside of professional soccer, whether through coaching, technical leadership, sporting operations, executive leadership, or high-level football business development - Strong existing network across professional football environments, ideally domestic and international - Deep understanding of how clubs actually function across ownership, technical staff, performance staff, and player-development structures - Strong verbal presence and polished written communication - High discretion, political judgment, and relationship maturity - Comfortable with travel, live meetings, and extended relationship-building cycles Preferred Background - Former or current senior figure in professional soccer - Experience working across multiple clubs, markets, or international football environments - Trusted by serious football people - Able to carry a room without overperforming authority - Understands both the sporting side and the executive side of the game Personal Attributes - Calm, credible, and difficult to rattle - Relationally intelligent without becoming performative - Strategic without becoming abstract - Patient enough to build real trust - Sharp enough to recognize timing, hierarchy, and hidden friction - Comfortable operating with quiet authority Scope - Global role with a strong early emphasis on soccer partnership development - Travel expected - Flexible structure based on candidate seniority and market reach - May be configured as full-time, advisory-retainer, or strategic business development leadership depending on fit What Success Looks Like - Hickson Sport gains access to serious football rooms that would otherwise remain closed - High-value partnership conversations are opened, advanced, and stewarded well - Club and executive relationships deepen through trust, not pressure - The company’s presence inside of global soccer becomes more credible, more connected, and more strategically placed over time About the Company There is a moment inside of every elite performance environment - where the data says one thing, & the room says another. Most organizations have learned to trust the data. Hickson Sport was built to read the room first, and then match the data. Applying data too soon, can set you years behind. In fact, many teams will be lightyears ahead of others, due to simply doing data right, the first time. We embed practitioners inside of elite sport organizations, & we close the Somatic Signal Gap: the living interval in which a nervous system is already shifting, compensating, or drifting before any wearable, dashboard, or conscious self-report has caught up. By the time a metric moves, the organism may already have been learning from an unresolved state for days. We are present inside of that interval, reading what the body is carrying before it surfaces as consequence. Our practitioners are not consultants in the practical sense. Think of the 2010 Christopher Nolan film Inception: a team trained to enter the layers of a system that no one else can access, moving through it without disturbing the surface, reading what lives underneath, and bringing back intelligence that changes every decision made above it. Our practitioners operate with that same quality of depth. They are calibrated instruments, with nervous systems developed to the standard required to detect, process, and interpret what the somatic layer reveals in real time, under real load, across the unpredictable conditions of a full competitive season. The intelligence they generate feeds directly back into the data infrastructure already in place, sharpening its vision and surfacing signals it is architecturally unable to produce on its own. We build nervous system profiles longitudinally. We forecast state trajectories before they arrive at consequence, & with mysteriously precise accuracy. We bring that same precision to scouting & roster decisions, reading the nervous systems that will be asked to perform, analyzing the autonomic range an athlete has. Through wholesome and candid interaction, we slowly shift the building. Simple nervous system math. Like a magician, but for the emotional baseline & bandwidth of the entire organization. Athletes will noticeably become easier to work with, to coach, and they will even begin to show some additional favorable traits in short time. The same could be said for the coaches and organizational staff as well. All picked up through nervous system interaction with an embedded observer. Social Osmosis. In this case, Calibrated Social Osmosis. What we leave behind, inside of every room & every person, is a little more clarity, a little more range, & a little more of what was already there, finally making its way to the surface.
