Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management: Speak with people or groups verbally or in writing, and execute the strategy for the area of responsibility by conveying objectives, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning tasks, and coordinating jobs to achieve office goals.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor and oversee the performance of the area of responsibility by planning, reviewing, or investigating business reports, and maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Associate Development: Identify associate, customer, or potential supplier concerns by listening and communicating with others, and direct and develop associates and leaders in areas of responsibility by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
- System Management: Manage the investigation of system applications by working on system issue resolution with the Information Systems Division (ISD) and vendors, and support the ongoing development of current and future system applications.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, and 1-year supervisory experience, OR a bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, OR 2-year Walmart Logistics experience in an Information Systems environment maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems.
- Training and Certification: Associates will be required to participate in and successfully complete all job-required stages of training and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Business and Logistics Experience: Experience in business, distribution, or logistics, particularly in a distribution center management role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Walmart Logistics systems, and experience with managing computer systems and networks.
