About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative II at blithequark, you will be part of a dynamic team that responds to member and provider inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, status of claims, and other related issues. Your role will be pivotal in providing accurate and courteous information, facilitating resolutions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This is a fully remote position within Washington State, offering the flexibility and work-life balance that many professionals seek.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first call resolution by responding accurately and courteously to member and provider inquiries regarding benefit interpretation, eligibility, claims status, and other related issues under various health plans.
• Document inquiries, complaints, and other data in our computer database in an accurate, clear, and timely manner.
• Support members during critical periods such as the Medicare Annual Election Period, which may include working variable shifts and weekend hours.
• Advise providers on the outcome of claim processing and take appropriate actions on their behalf.
• Meet attendance and call quality standards, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction.
• Perform all job functions with accuracy, attention to detail, and within established timeframes.
• Take on other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• A minimum of three years of call center experience, preferably in insurance, managed care, or a provider setting.
• Knowledge of state and federal programs, including Washington Apple Health and Medicare Advantage Plans.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information into clear and concise documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• The ability to gather and assess information from multiple systems, apply protocols, and determine appropriate actions.
• A commitment to serving the underserved community with respect, courtesy, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy:

• Previous experience in a healthcare or insurance setting.
• Knowledge of claims processing and related procedures.
• Experience working in a 100% remote environment.
