**Job Responsibilities**
As a Data Annotation Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading a team of Data Annotation Specialists who label 3D and image data for neural network training. Your primary goal will be to ensure the accuracy and quality of the data annotation process, working closely with engineers and Autopilot control to develop and refine our annotation guidelines. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting ongoing performance management of the team, creating training plans, tracking progress, and completing monthly analyses and lead general performance reports.
* Evaluating daily performance in proprietary software, reporting daily summaries and organization metrics.
* Working closely with engineers and Autopilot control to develop and refine annotation guidelines, owning annotation tips that require a record of every technical and operational constraint.
* Having a strong record of task recommendations to discuss labeling requirements effectively, labeling inefficiencies, and assist in growing documentation and education materials.
* Executing proper headcount allocation among Quality Control and labeling, and prioritizing project queues every day as directed by control.
* Ensuring documentation and daily planning for the team is accurate and continuously updated.
* Other supervisory duties include employee development, conducting bi-annual performance reviews and monthly performance check-ins with Team Leads and Data Annotation Specialists.
* Recognizing employees on a monthly cadence that continuously exceeds expectations.
* Mentoring direct reports and ensuring the team works as a cohesive unit.
* Accurately controlling timekeeping and attendance via the Kronos system.
**What You'll Bring**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Experience dealing with and motivating medium-sized teams that perform manual operations.
* Ability to control time efficiently, prioritizing responsibilities with the use of order of precedence and completing in a timely manner.
* Commitment to data accuracy and throughput.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for immediate learning systems.
* Proven track record executing and meeting sensitive deadlines.
* Experience dealing with multiple competing responsibilities with limited resources.
* Strong communication and presentation skills – able to explain complex topics in an easy and concise manner.
* Proficiency in large workflow software (JIRA, Excel, etc.).
