**Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Ordering electronic and faxed prescriptions via our pharmacy software, ensuring accurate and timely processing
* Answering phone calls and troubleshooting with nursing staff in a professional and courteous manner
* Adjudicating and troubleshooting rejected insurance claims, providing efficient solutions and accurate information
* Communicating with the fill floor to process orders in a timely manner, ensuring seamless workflow
* Accurately processing prescriptions, calculating proper day supplies and quantities, and maintaining attention to detail
* Problem-solving and providing accurate information and efficient solutions to resolve issues promptly
* Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA laws and regulations
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A High School Diploma or Equivalent
* A valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and good standing with the Board of Pharmacy
* At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in any capacity (retail, LTC, hospital)
* Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations accurately
* Open availability, including holidays and weekends
* Reliable transportation to and from work
* Ability to follow required HIPAA laws and regulations
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
* PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
* Long Term Care experience
* Framework LTC experience
* Long Term Care billing/adjudication experience
* Familiarity with Medical Terminology
* Basic understanding of Illinois Pharmacy Law
