Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mandarin Chinese online tutor to join our team of dedicated educators. As a Mandarin Chinese online tutor, you will play a vital role in shaping the language skills and cultural awareness of our students. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality online Mandarin Chinese lessons to students aged 2-17 using our proprietary video-conference platform and engaging curriculum.
- Help students improve their Chinese fluency through fun, interesting conversations and interactive activities.
- Provide gentle corrections and feedback to students, adding new words to their personalized word list as needed.
- Write update notes after each lesson to track student progress and provide feedback to parents.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in online language instruction.
Essential Qualifications
- Native fluency in Mandarin Chinese with excellent speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Strong English speaking and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in education, language, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching or working with children, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Prior tutoring experience (online or in-person) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
