Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Math Instructor / Tutor to join our team in Bayside, Queens, on a part-time basis with flexible hours. As a Math Instructor / Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and tutoring services to students in a variety of settings, including in-center, online, and hybrid environments. Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students using the Mathnasium Method^®, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, and utilize them to support student learning.
• Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, adapting to the needs of our students and the demands of a rapidly changing educational landscape.
• Assess student progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students.
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student growth.
• Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive space for all students.
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the success of our team.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A passion for math and a strong desire to work with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.
• The ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritizing responsibilities and managing time effectively.
• A willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method^®, embracing our proprietary approach to math education.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Prior experience in math instruction or tutoring, with a proven track record of success.
• A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field.
