Job Overview
As a Staff Information Researcher, you will be a specialized lead on information science projects and take responsibility for and conveyance obligations. You will work intimately with product partners to create "smart" features and deliver exceptional business results using AI, Deep Learning, NLP, and CV. Information Ventures, much like an agile startup hatched inside Walmart, is building the top-tier setup of Information Products to deliver significant, client-driven insights and help vendors and suppliers make better business decisions on Omni-channel 360 performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ideate with partners to identify ML/Deep Learning opportunities for solutions.
- Figure out problems and convert them into Information Science project requirements.
- Build solutions that can be easily integrated into external systems or existing applications.
- Select suitable ML modeling techniques for complex problems with large-scale data.
- Create and emphasize features collaboratively with colleagues.
- Lead model development and guide colleagues through building, testing, and deploying ML models at scale.
- Establish best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and interpretability.
- Ensure production-ready ML solutions with low latency inference times and risk evaluation.
What You'll Bring
- Expertise in Statistics, AI, Deep Learning, NLP, and Computer Vision (optional).
- Proven industry experience in tackling Retail and Customer science problems.
- Proficient in Python/R, PyTorch, TensorFlow, SQL, Big Data, and cloud technologies.
- Experience leading and mentoring data science teams, effective technical communication to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Deployment and Scaling best practices.
Essential Qualifications
