Position Overview
The Remote Evening Triage Nurse role is a part‑time, schedule‑focused position (evening shifts, Monday‑Friday) that operates entirely via telehealth platforms. You will serve as the first clinical point of contact for patients reaching out through inbound phone calls, secure messaging, or the patient portal. Key Responsibilities
- Inbound & Outbound Communications: Answer patient calls promptly, initiate follow‑up calls, and respond to messages within the patient portal while maintaining a courteous, empathetic tone.
- Clinical Assessment & Triage: Conduct thorough, protocol‑driven assessments using evidence‑based algorithms; determine urgency, provide self‑care instructions, or route patients to emergency services, primary care, or specialty providers as appropriate.
- Order Management: Create and submit orders (labs, imaging, referrals) through the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinical guidelines.
- Administrative Support: Assist patients and providers with documentation for FMLA, ADA accommodations, and short‑/long‑term disability (STD/LTD) requests, coordinating with internal teams for timely processing.
- Provider Collaboration: Communicate clinical findings to physicians, nurse practitioners, and care managers via approved secure channels, facilitating seamless care transitions.

Essential Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in California (e‑NCL). Equivalent licensure in other states is not acceptable for this role.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience, with at least 3 years in a high‑intensity setting such as Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Labor & Delivery.
- Current demonstration of clinical proficiency, including assessment, documentation, and care coordination.
- Proficient in at least one major EHR platform (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Greenway) and comfortable navigating multiple modules.
