**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst – Space Optimization to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets to identify opportunities for space optimization and process improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes and drive business results.
**Key Responsibilities**
* 50%: Provide micro and macro area optimization evaluation of various scopes throughout items, categories, and departments.
* 20%: Communicate the method and suggestions generated by tools to senior business leaders.
* 20%: Evaluate and identify opportunities during store initiatives and business resets for arenaflex.
* 10%: Partner with store planning and space planning to aid and execute new ideas based on competitive and space productivity analyses.
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree with 1 year of work experience.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* The knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly obtained through the completion of a bachelor's or master's degree program or equivalent in a field of study related to the job.
* Three years of work experience in data mining and statistical analysis.
* Experience with large-scale data analysis and a proven ability to identify key insights from data to solve business problems.
* Proven ability to manage situations that require analytical thinking, negotiation, interpretation, and execution.
* The ability to create and influence change through their behavior and enthusiasm in their work.
* In-depth knowledge of retail, distribution chain, product format, and space planning practices and methods with the ability to analyze and interpret space and space productivity data.
**Competencies**
* Advanced experience with the JDA Intactix space control suite is highly preferred.
* High skill in financial/statistical modeling packages including forecasting and/or optimization is highly preferred.
* Experience in MS Excel, MS Access, or other analytical tools required.
* Experience with Hadoop, R, SAS, or other applicable statistical modeling tools/languages.
* Experience with multiple statistical modeling and regression analysis techniques and their practical business applications.
