Position Overview
We are urgently seeking a skilled technical leader who is results-oriented and passionate about solving complex problems using cutting-edge technology. As a practitioner of test-driven development, a champion of CI/CD, and a creative thinker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing scalable and reliable solutions to enable Walmart Associates to provide compliant and effective management of prescription-based retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and reliable solutions to enable Walmart Associates to provide compliant and effective management of prescription-based retail operations
- Streamline processes that enable Walmart Associates to provide effective, efficient, and enhanced medical services/immunizations to Walmart customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet business needs
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design documents, and technical guides
- Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of the codebase
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new tools, and apply this knowledge to improve existing systems and processes
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in technical leadership across all components of SDLC
- Experience in pair programming and test-driven development
- In-depth working knowledge of technologies such as Java or/and .NET, Rest API, Event-driven design, Messaging Technologies (Kafka), Containerization, Kubernetes, NoSQL and Relational Databases
- In-depth working knowledge of Cloud computing and designing and implementing solutions deployed to Azure or/and Google Cloud Platforms
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving across geographies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail or healthcare environment
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Strong understanding of security principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
