This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Lawyer / Senior Paralegal with significant experience across Criminal Law, Family Law, and Immigration Law to support international legal practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background handling multi-disciplinary legal matter, with the ability to manage sensitive cases and provide comprehensive legal support across these practice areas.
This role requires a highly organized and experienced legal professional who can work independently, manage complex casework, and support legal teams across multiple jurisdictions. Experience working in a remote or outsourced legal services environment will be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will be comfortable handling client communications, legal drafting, case preparation, and coordination across criminal, family, and immigration matters.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support across criminal, family, and immigration law matters, including case preparation and documentation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, applications, submissions, and client correspondence.
- Assist in managing case files from intake through resolution, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal procedures.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents across multiple practice areas.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support lawyers with hearing preparation, evidence review, and case strategy development.
- Manage deadlines, filings, and ensure all documentation is submitted within required timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain organized records using legal management systems.
Requirements
- LLB or equivalent law degree is required; Attorney qualification would be an advantage for lawyer-level candidates.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in criminal, family, and/or immigration law (experience across all three is strongly preferred).
- Strong experience in legal drafting, case management, and client handling.
- Familiarity with court procedures, filings, and legal documentation requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Experience working with international clients or in a Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) environment is an advantage.
