About the position Flik Hospitality Group is seeking a Director of Finance to provide senior financial leadership for a complex contract portfolio within a dynamic and growing organization. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, this role is responsible for owning financial performance at the account level while serving as a trusted partner to operations and client stakeholders. This position is ideal for a seasoned finance leader who combines strong operational finance expertise with the ability to influence, advise, and navigate high-expectation environments. The Director of Finance will play a critical role in ensuring financial discipline, client confidence, and sustainable performance across assigned contracts. Responsibilities • Financial Management & Reporting Own the financial performance, outlook, and integrity of assigned contracts. • Oversee monthly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Compass Group policies and internal controls. • Prepare and interpret variance analyses, forecasts, and performance reports, translating results into clear insights and recommendations. • Budgeting & Forecasting Own annual budgets and rolling forecasts for assigned contracts, ensuring assumptions are sound, risks are identified, and opportunities are clearly articulated. • Partner with operations leaders to align financial plans with operational realities and contractual commitments. • Client & Operations Partnership Serve as the senior finance partner to account and regional operations leadership, influencing decision-making through data-driven insights. • Lead routine and high-impact financial discussions with clients, including performance reviews, contract compliance, and financial risk mitigation. • Business Controls & Risk Management Proactively identify financial, contractual, and operational risks, escalating issues with clear analysis and recommended actions. • Support working capital initiatives, including billing accuracy, cash collections, and margin protection. • Process Improvement & Efficiency Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and reporting to enhance transparency, efficiency, and decision-making. • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement improvements that support scalability and client expectations. • Team Leadership & Development Provide training and support to field operators on financial tools and processes. • Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a key liaison between finance and operations, ensuring consistent communication and alignment. • Support regional initiatives and special projects as assigned. Requirements • 5+ years of progressive financial experience, preferably in a multi-site or contract foodservice/hospitality environment. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required • Proven experience in owning financial performance for complex accounts • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in demanding environments. • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems. • High attention to detail, strong judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Willingness to travel as needed.
