Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Immigration Specialist and outside immigration counsel in preparing and filing U.S. non-immigrant visa applications, including H-1B, L-1B/A, and TN visas, as well as U.S. permanent residency cases, such as PERM, I-140 filing, and I-485/AOS.
- Initiate cases into our immigration counsel's database and generate reports to ensure seamless case management.
- Perform a range of H-1B CAP lottery case-related duties, including tracking, monitoring, and prioritizing follow-ups with pending requests.
- Assist our legal vendor in gathering associates' information to maintain the accuracy of their proprietary case management system.
- Provide administrative support, such as filing documents in proper order and maintaining organized records.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve a high level of productivity and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A High School Degree; a Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or Paralegal Certification is preferred.
- Some legal experience, particularly in immigration law, is beneficial but not required.
- The ability to analyze documents for accuracy and attention to detail.
- A client service mindset and a strong desire to achieve a high level of productivity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
Preferred Skills and Experience
While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:
- Prior experience in immigration law or a related field.
- Familiarity with immigration counsel databases and case management systems.
- Experience with H-1B CAP lottery case management and related duties.
