We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who are passionate about teaching group exercise classes and have a strong desire to help others. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach safe and healthy movement classes, providing options for all fitness levels and abilities
- Lead energizing, fun, and educational classes, including Kickboxing, Weight Lifting, High Intensity Intervals, Cycling, Dance, Yoga, and Meditation
- Maintain accurate class attendance records and respond to emergency situations in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other instructors, supervisors, and staff to create a positive and supportive environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience teaching group exercise classes
- National Certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise Certification
- CPR, AED, and certification in areas of expertise (Cardio, Strength, Yoga, Cycle, Mat Pilates, Dance, etc.)
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse fitness abilities and respond to emergency situations
