Summary:
The Math+ Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the Math+ program,
supervising approximately 40 teachers and driving measurable improvements in student
achievement, instructional quality, and program growth across Epic Charter Schools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned:
- Lead and coach Math+ teachers to improve instructional quality, student performance data, and program consistency.
- Provide leadership in enforcing school and administrative policies and regulations for staff within the department.
- Approve all promotional communication and documents shared with school personnel and families. Provide critical program updates to instructional leadership in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of student and family concerns related to Math+ programming.
- Evaluate and review the performance of direct reports in accordance with contractual and administrative procedures and make recommendations to the administration regarding department personnel.
- Attend all necessary meetings as a representative of Math+ to provide information and updates on the program with relevant stakeholders, as well as advocate for departmental needs.
- Determine staffing distribution in accordance with demand based on Epic enrollment.
- Direct new curriculum development and program innovation to serve families in creative and engaging ways.
- Oversee and direct the screening and recommended hiring of department personnel.
- Keeps informed on educational innovations and trends as they relate to department concerns.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises approximately 40 Math+ teachers and may oversee team leads or instructional coordinators as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field (required or in progress towards completion).
- Instructional leadership experience.
- Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Mathematics.

- Ability to interpret various technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong data analysis skills, including experience using Excel or other data platforms to analyze student performance and inform instructional decisions.
- Familiarity with Access and Google Sheets is a plus.
- Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite is required.
- Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the school's business operations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current driver's license and valid car insurance.
- Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in one of the following areas:
- Intermediate Mathematics
- Advanced Mathematics
Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made.
- Must have favorable employment references.
