Job Summary The Motion Graphics Editor is responsible for editing, producing, and optimizing short-form and social-first video content across digital platforms. This role focuses on creating engaging, platform-native video that supports client goals, campaigns, and brand storytelling. Working closely with the Creative Operations Team, the Motion Graphics Editor ensures content meets platform specifications, brand standards, and performance expectations. Core Responsibilities Work within established procedures and guidelines set by the Manager of Creative Operations to ensure consistency, quality control, and effective collaboration across projects. Social Media Video Editing & Production: • Edit short-form video content optimized for social platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other emerging channels • Repurpose long-form video content into engaging short-form assets • Apply strong pacing, hooks, captions, and text-on-screen to maximize audience retention • Incorporate music, sound design, motion graphics, and visual effects aligned with platform trends • Ensure all videos meet platform specifications, aspect ratios, and safe-zone requirements • Produce longer video content (such as promo videos) as needed Collaboration and Communication: • Collaborate closely with the Creative Operations Manager, Social Media team, Designers, and Account Managers • Receive, interpret, and apply internal and client feedback efficiently • Maintain clear communication around timelines, revisions, and deliverables Technical Skills and Platform Awareness: • Utilize professional video editing software and social media tools effectively • Stay up to date on social media trends, video formats, and best practices • Apply platform insights and performance data to refine future video edits Project Management: • Manage multiple social video projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines • Maintain organized file structures and version control • Follow internal workflows, naming conventions, and delivery standards Quality Assurance & Optimization: • Review all video content to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and quality standards • Adjust editing approaches based on analytics, engagement data, and client feedback • Contribute to continuous improvement of social video processes and templates Team Rapport The Motion Graphics Editor is part of the Creative Operations Team and reports directly to the Manager of Creative Operations. This role works cross-functionally with Social Media, Design, and Account teams to produce cohesive, high-performing social video content. Required Qualifications & Skills • Demonstrated experience editing social-first video content with a strong portfolio • Proficiency in professional video editing software and social media formats • Strong understanding of short-form storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Excellent communication, collaboration, and feedback integration skills • Experience working within established brand guidelines and templates Job Type: Contract Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week Work Location: Remote
