Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Proofreader to help us ensure our content is error-free. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in proofreading, grammar, spelling, style guides, and copywriting within the health and nutrition space and best practices for compliant copyrighting and brand claims. Job Duties & Responsibilities • Review and proof various content at multiple checkpoints, ensuring accuracy with brand style and direction. • Ensure documentation is error-free, mathematical content is accurately included, measurements are correct, and terminology is used consistently. • Proofread and fact-check content, including blogs, content, and other resources. • Identify and escalate quality or compliance risks within content team before publication. • Communicate with content editor and manager to ensure accuracy by providing feedback on grammar, spelling, and brand alignment. Qualifications & Skills Required • Mastery of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style, with ability to adapt to a brand’s tone. • Experience with AP, Chicago Manual of Style, or in-house style publication guides. • Excellent attention to detail and listening comprehension for spoken content. • Ability to manage high volumes under tight deadlines while maintaining quality. • Clear, constructive communication skills and collaborative working style. • Commitment to maintaining compliance with brand and regulatory standards. • Awareness of SEO and social optimization (keywords, hashtags, formatting). Preferred Skills • Familiarity with FDA/FTC regulations, copyright/fair-use, and health-claim compliance.
