Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Brennan Staffing Group Inc. is a growing, P/E-backed organization seeking a strong, independent Accounts Payable professional. This role involves managing payment processes, vendor relationships, and compliance, while also serving as an internal resource and voice for the customer base.
Responsibilities
• Manage payment processes, including wires, ACH, credit cards, and checks
• Manage monthly inter/intra-company reconciliation of invoice balances and provide the necessary intercompany trade activity information to the Treasury department
• Manage vendor inquiries and business relationships
• Manage AP compliance with various internal controls
• Maintain the expense reporting system and audit submitted expenses to ensure they comply with company policies
• Manage the company’s credit card programs (CTA, P-card, and T&E cards)
• Maintain master vendor records and update vendor master data
• Maintain vendor invoice files – paper or electronic
• Collect W-9s and verify tax IDs for vendors and generate 1099s for IRS reporting
• Assist with monthly, quarterly review, and annual audits
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
• Perform other duties as required
Skills
• RAMP system experience is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum 10 years' equivalent accounting work experience with 6+ years' direct supervisory experience in Accounts Payable and progressively increasing responsibility
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and RAMP & NetSuite
• Detail-oriented with proven accuracy in working with numbers
• Ability to handle a large volume of processing and data manipulation
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the organization, in a positive, tactful, and professional manner
• Current knowledge of general accounting financial services, best practices and trends, including US accounting and auditing regulations, accounting policies and practices - with unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards
• Strong business acumen and judgment, and proven ability to think strategically about business issues
• Excellent organizational skills: resource management, workload prioritization, and project management. Develops and manages effective, efficient processes
• Effective at driving change and managing teams to achieve desired results. Capable of articulating a vision or plan, gaining organizational commitment to action, and managing others to achieve results
• Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills. Maintains effective external industry and professional network
