Job Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced IBM Connect:Direct Systems Analyst (also referred to as an MFT Engineer) with a strong background in Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions. This individual will support and maintain IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Connect:Direct platforms. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, technically sound, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and upgrade IBM Connect:Direct and Sterling File Gateway
Support file transfer operations across mainframe, distributed systems, and cloud-based environments
Troubleshoot and resolve complex MFT issues
Collaborate with technical teams to support migration and integration initiatives
Maintain a secure, scalable, and highly available file transfer infrastructure
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Connect: Direct
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in MFT environments
Experience with DevOps practices (highly preferred)
Familiarity with mainframe systems, distributed systems, and cloud-based file transfer solutions
Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
