Secondary Social Studies Curriculum Developer

Job Description: • Design and develop social studies educational content (video scripts, assessments, and written materials) for 6-12th grade students • Ensure content is pedagogically sound, engaging, age-appropriate, and accessible for students • Write clear and measurable lesson objectives, and align teaching materials to meet objectives • Use technology, such as Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, Figma, and screencasting software • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs • Continuously evaluate and refine content based on feedback and educational outcomes • Collaborate on special projects and assignments Requirements: • A minimum of 2 years of full-time social studies classroom teaching experience in core social studies subjects (Civics/Government, Economics, World History, US History or other relevant subject) at the 6-12th grade level • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education or in a social studies-related field • Familiarity with writing lesson objectives and creating objective-aligned lesson materials • Experience designing well-structured and effective lessons • Ability to differentiate instruction to make learning accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate • Strong understanding of what makes a lesson engaging • Experience using technology to support instruction, including Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs • Access to a computer/laptop (with camera) and reliable high-speed internet connection Benefits: • Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance, inclusive of specialty care options like fertility benefits, mental health services, and chiropractic care, FSA, HSA, and more. • All employees are eligible for a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. • PTO is all-purpose time off, and combines traditional vacation and paid sick leave plans into one flexible, inclusive policy.
