- Prepare detailed construction budgets by reviewing construction plans, updating specifications, and identifying costs associated with each phase of the project.
- Evaluate offers to purchase, cost changes, additions, and site requirements, ensuring they align with budget constraints.
- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors, specify materials, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing.
- Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information, and resolve cost discrepancies through data collection and analysis.
- Prepare special reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing cost data and project trends.
- Maintain high-quality service by adhering to organizational standards and procedures.
- Ensure continuity among corporate, division, and local teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in relevant professional societies.
- Work closely with Project Management to develop proposals, coordinate with Construction Management on production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequencing.
