Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support our aerospace manufacturing teams. This role will focus on creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation related to flight hardware and manufacturing processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for aerospace manufacturing processes, engineering changes, and system integration.
• Create process manuals, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system documentation using Teamcenter and SAP.
• Document FAA Production Certificate (PCM) processes and maintain compliance-related records.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.
• Support document version control and configuration management in regulated environments.
• Prepare materials for audits, certification packages, and review cycles.
• Review and update documentation to reflect process improvements or design changes.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of technical writing experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Teamcenter (Siemens PLM) and SAP.
• Knowledge of FAA Production Certificate (PCM) requirements.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and manufacturing workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with configuration-controlled environments and regulated documentation standards.
• Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or similar quality systems.
• Prior experience supporting flight controls, avionics, or aerospace manufacturing programs.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field. Advanced degrees a plus.

Pay: $35.13 - $60.00 per hour
