Job Title: Business Valuation Analyst 0ptometry Practice Appraisals & Deal Support

Williams Group is a healthcare professional services firm serving independent optometry practice owners nationwide. We provide valuation/appraisal services, transaction support (peer-to-peer and private equity/corporate), and financial/tax advisory.
We’re hiring a valuation-focused Financial Analyst to help lead and scale our appraisal and deal-support work. This role will sign off on approximately 4–5 optometry practice valuations per month and support project managers on Marketplace and Private Equity/Corporate engagements with valuation analysis and transaction support through closing.
What You’ll Do
• Prepare and review business valuations/appraisals for optometry practices (asset and enterprise approaches as appropriate)
• Build and defend normalized EBITDA and related adjustments (add-backs, owner comp normalization, one-time items)
• Develop valuation models (DCF, market multiple methods, rules-of-thumb cross-checks) and prepare client-ready reports
• Support transaction teams with valuation inputs during LOI, diligence, and closing
• Participate in client calls to explain assumptions, results, and value drivers clearly and credibly
• Maintain valuation workpapers, documentation, and internal QA standards

• Consistent, high-quality valuation reports delivered on time
• Clear, well-supported EBITDA normalization and assumptions that stand up to buyer scrutiny
• Faster deal cycles and improved internal handoffs to project managers
Qualifications
Required
• ABV (or on track) or CVA credential
• 3+ years of experience in one or more: business valuation, FP&A, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, or valuation consulting
• Strong skills in Excel/financial modeling (EBITDA normalization, forecasting, scenario analysis)
• Ability to write clearly and produce client-facing reports
• Professional judgment and comfort owning deliverables
Preferred
• Experience valuing healthcare practices (optometry/dentistry/medical) or other professional service businesses
• Familiarity with SBA lending constraints and how lenders evaluate cash flow
• Experience supporting transactions through LOI and close
Tools & Work Style
• Excel / Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint)
• QuickBooks Online familiarity is helpful (not required)
• You’ll work closely with our Transitions and Financial teams; this is a high-trust role with meaningful autonomy.
