We are seeking an experienced VMware Consultant with a strong background in infrastructure and cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in VMware environments and Microsoft Azure IaaS, with proven experience in assessment, planning, and execution of migration initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage VMware infrastructure environments (vSphere, ESXi, and related components).
Perform infrastructure and cloud readiness assessments.
Plan and execute migration strategies from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure (IaaS).
Develop detailed migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
Optimize performance, availability, and scalability of virtualized environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and deployment.
Provide post-migration validation, troubleshooting, and support.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud migration roles.
Strong hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, and related infrastructure components).
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS, including VM provisioning, networking, and storage.
Experience performing cloud migration assessments and planning.
Understanding of migration tools and methodologies (e.g., lift-and-shift, replatforming).
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
Familiarity with Azure Migrate and related migration tools.
Relevant certifications (VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure certifications) are a plus.
