We're seeking an exceptional Account Director to lead our premium advertising efforts for Yahoo News, Entertainment, and Lifestyle. As a trusted guide for hundreds of millions of people globally, Yahoo offers omnichannel solutions and powerful data to engage with our brands and deliver results. In this role, you'll develop strategic plans to exceed target revenue goals, partner with internal teams to represent Yahoo News, and provide exceptional customer service to build meaningful client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and exceed targets
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Yahoo Finance and Yahoo Sports, to represent Yahoo News and deliver joint pitches
- Collaborate with Editorial teams to understand the value proposition of our media and identify opportunities to unlock potential revenue
- Facilitate high-priority campaigns from concept to delivery, ensuring exceptional execution for brands
- Meet with clients to understand their strategic needs and deliver tailored Yahoo solutions that meet their advertising and business objectives
- Work with Sales Enablement to develop compelling pitch materials that articulate the value proposition of proposed solutions
- Provide market feedback to internal teams and develop a deep understanding of our brand's strategy and roadmap
Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience in the advertising industry, with a focus on digital media
- Proven track record of creating compelling marketing solutions and driving revenue growth
- Demonstrated partnerships with large clients and a proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships
- Deep understanding of the digital media industry, with the ability to credibly articulate strategic insights based on data and research
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with experience leading executive-level engagements
