Our mission To help founders build operationally sound, scalable businesses, especially during moments where speed, clarity, and execution quality directly impact survival and growth About the role We are looking for a Business Development Executive who is highly proactive, resilient, and self-motivated, and who enjoys building relationships and closing high-impact B2B consulting deals. This role is NOT about waiting for leads. It is about opening doors, building trust with founders, and closing deals through consultative selling — both online and offline. What you will do • Build and grow relationships through online and offline networking, including: Industry-specific events and communities; Startup & SME networks; Founder- and investor-focused networking spaces • Actively source, qualify, and close B2B consulting deals using a consultative selling approach • Engage directly with founders, CEOs, COOs, and senior decision-makers, understanding their real operational pain points and urgency • Support and participate in the organization of events, workshops, and roundtables • Own deals end-to-end, with early-stage co-closing support from the founder • Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline with consistent follow-up and clear deal ownership Who you are Mindset & Personalities: • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently • Strong ownership mindset — you take responsibility for outcomes, not just activities • Clear growth mindset and open-minded attitude • Critical thinking skills: able to analyze complex business situations, ask the right questions, and engage founders with depth • Confident, resilient, and persistent — comfortable selling to high-profile founders and senior decision-makers • Strong interpersonal and networking skills • Can-do attitude with a bias toward action Qualifications & Experience: • All academic backgrounds are welcome • Fresh graduates are welcome if you can demonstrate real sales experience, such as: Independently sourcing leads; Running sales conversations; Closing deals during university years (especially from year 3–4) • Candidates from business- and economics-focused universities with strong sales mindset are encouraged to apply • Preferred (but not required) experience from: Boutique consulting, advisory firms or agencies; B2B services, SaaS, or startup environments • You must be able to clearly demonstrate at least 3–4 successful B2B deals, each valued between USD 2,000 and USD 10,000, that you personally sourced, managed, and closed end-to-end Our hiring philosophy At SOSP, we do not hire based on seniority alone.
