A2SKI is seeking
an experienced and safety-focused Equipment Operator Foreperson to lead field
operations while actively operating heavy equipment such as an excavator, skid
steer, and rock truck/loader. The
successful candidate will supervise crews, coordinate daily site activities,
liaise with the client, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and
according to project specifications. This leadership role requires technical
expertise and the ability to manage people and equipment effectively.
Key
Responsibilities:

Operate
an excavator, skid steer or rock truck/wheel loader as required
·
Supervise,
coordinate, and lead a crew of equipment operators
·
Plan
and execute daily work activities in collaboration with the project manager and
site supervisor
·
Oversee
excavation, hauling, and site preparation activities
·
Monitor
productivity, equipment utilization, and crew performance
·
Conduct
daily tailgate/safety meetings and hazard assessments
·
Perform
site inspections to ensure quality control standards are met
·
Complete
daily reports, time tracking and documentation as required
·
Enforce
compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
·
Conduct
pre-operational inspections and ensure routine equipment maintenance
·
Communicate
effectively with clients, inspectors, and internal teams
Qualifications:
·
Experience
operating an excavator, skid steer, and/or rock truck/loader is an asset
·
Previous
supervisory or foreman experience in construction or earthworks
·
Proven
leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
·
Excavator,
Skid Steer, and Rock Truck/Wheel Loader certification is required
·
SCOT
and WHMIS Certification
·
Valid
driver’s license and clean driver abstract
·
Good
communication and organizational skills
·
Knowledge
of safety protocols and procedures in a construction/warehouse setting is
required
·
Willingness
to undergo drug and alcohol testing
