Key Responsibilities
As a Digital Media & Communications intern at QTG, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and tasks, including:
- Utilizing excellent attention to detail to manage our company LinkedIn page content, ensuring that our online presence is professional and engaging.
- Overseeing the Intern-Alumni LinkedIn group, facilitating connections and networking opportunities between current and former interns.
- Managing our social media content calendar, creating relevant and engaging content for college students and interns, and analyzing the performance of our social media campaigns.
- Spearheading the creation of our quarterly corporate newsletter using Adobe Acrobat DC, showcasing our company's achievements and successes.
- Crafting job hiring posts and vendor marketing posts using tools like Canva, Adobe Acrobat DC, or other platforms, to attract top talent and promote our services.
- Conducting industry research to analyze competitors' social media strategies and offering recommendations for improvement, helping us to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of digital media.
- Gaining valuable experience completing a variety of general internship tasks, in addition to digital media tasks, to broaden your skillset and prepare you for a successful career in IT.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Be a Maryland resident with a permanent home address in the state.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Be available to work 15 hours per week, with completely flexible hours Monday to Friday.
- Meet the 60 hours per month requirement and submit timesheets by the due date on a bi-weekly basis.
- Meet weekly report deadlines by 5 pm each Friday.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat DC, Canva, or other design and marketing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
