Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in various educational settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, adapting to the needs of the classroom and the students.
- Manage classroom behavior, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure a smooth and successful assignment.
- Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback, develop your skills, and address any concerns.
Essential Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits.
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor.
- NJ Substitute Credential.
- Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this).
- Full COVID-19 vaccination.
- A passion for education and putting students first.
- An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience.
- Special education or paraprofessional experience.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
