Description
The Marketing Executive is responsible for leading the marketing and placement of Transportation accounts. This role focuses on developing carrier relationships, negotiating terms and designing coverage strategies that align with client needs. The Marketing Executive partners closely with Producers and Account Executives to position accounts effectively in the marketplace and deliver optimal insurance solutions.
Work Performed:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for new and renewal transportation business
- Identify appropriate carrier markets and negotiate competitive terms, pricing and coverage
- Analyze risk exposures and structure coverage solutions tailored to client operations
- Prepare comprehensive marketing submissions and present accounts to carrier partners
- Serve as a primary liaison with underwriters; building and maintaining strong carrier relationships
- Collaborate with Producers and Account Executives to align on client strategy and market approach
- Review quotes, compare coverage options and provide recommendations to the production team
- Stay informed on transportation industry trends, carrier appetites and market conditions
- Participate in client and carrier meetings, as needed
Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (required)
- Strong negotiation and marketing skills with the ability to influence carrier outcomes
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and coverage structures
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Office, Outlook)
Preferred Education & Experience
- 3+ years experience with commercial lines marketing, underwriting or transportation insurance, but not required
- Familiarity with agency workflows and management systems (e.g., Applied Epic) is a plus
- Understanding of agency workflows and procedures
